Gold Award
Winning team: HABIT-VR, UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute

Hand-arm bimanual intensive therapy (HABIT) is a therapy technique used to improve the motor actions of children with Cerebral palsy (CP). Our project aimed to create a game that emulated HABIT therapy in a VR escape room to improve upon the engagement and enjoyment of patients. We delivered a game far larger than a single room; complete with narrative, progression, difficulty scaling, accessibility, replayability; not forgetting the core goal of therapy even once.
