The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking volunteer coaches for the 2019-20 Senior Design course.
Senior Design is a capstone course in which students spend an entire school year working in teams to develop a software solution project for a participating sponsor. A coach is provided to each team as a resource during their project releases with the goal of accelerating the team’s progress by expanding the students’ view of the project. Coaches should have expertise in both business and technology to provide guidance to students throughout the course.
Coach Duties:
- Offer mentoring to advocate for the students’ success
- Attend weekly meetings with students and sponsors
- Be an impartial third party to help guide projects to completion
