CSE students nominated for Outstanding Student Leadership Awards

CSE students Colton Harper, Annie Hua, and Trent Hoppe were honored at the Outstanding Student Leadership Awards on April 13.

Coordinated by Student Affairs and selected through multiple committees, the Outstanding Student Leadership Award annually recognizes top students for exceptional leadership contributions at Nebraska and efforts to develop leadership qualities in fellow students. The award is one of the highest honors presented to students, recognizing outstanding leadership in academic, co-curricular, and/or extracurricular activities and involvement.

In addition to the two winners, four students were honored as finalists and 14 as semifinalists for the awards.

Finalists: Colton Harper, Hutchinson, Kansas; Trent Hoppe, Bellevue; Emily Jezewski, Omaha; Emily Wagner, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Semifinalists: Hadi Alsafwani, Safwa, Saudi Arabia; Kristin Arens, Pierce; Regan Burnham, Fort Collins, Colorado; Chase Caverzagie, Papillion; Emma Fryda, Omaha; Annie Hua, Lincoln; Bethany Karlberg, Mullen; Calan Koch, Omaha; Evan Lindblad, Hastings; Sonoor Majid, Lincoln; Catherine Nyberg, Lincoln; Yaid Puente Jimenez, Auburn; Kali Rimington, Gering; Samantha Teten, Johnson.
