Women in 6G recently named School of Computing assistant professor Shuai Nie to its "100 Brilliant and Inspiring Women in 6G" list for 2024.
Women in 6G is a community started with the mission to close the gender gap and increase diversity in the telecom field by providing inspiration, support, and education to women who aspire to get into 6G-related careers.
Women in 6G's list of "100 Brilliant and Inspiring Women in 6G" is based on the nominations received, information from university and company websites, interviews, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, IEEE Xplore, and other public sources. The selected women have also demonstrated passion and resolve to contribute to and make a difference in the ever-evolving 6G technology space.
Shuai Nie joined the School of Computing in August 2021. She received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2021, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University in May 2014, and a B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from Xidian University in June 2012. Her research interests include terahertz communications, wideband communication networks in smart agriculture, and integrated sensing and communications. She is an area editor for the Elsevier Nano Communication Networks journal.
